Melanie Walsh
Photography has been something I've loved every since I bought my first digital camera when I was in the 7th grade. I love being able to capture a moment in real time and turn it into something memorable and beautiful. I always knew I had an eye for photography at a young age and I am confident in saying that it has always been a part of who I am.
My professional career before photography started in the classroom. I have my Masters and Credential in Elementary Education and I taught 1st grade and TK for 5 years.
First, hats off to teacher because WOW, it is truly the toughest job. I really enjoyed working with kids and their family throughout the years. Building a relationship and genuine connection was the best part about teaching. Thankfully when I made the shift to photography I realized that I was still able to have a heart-warming connection with the families I was shooting. Honestly, that is what you get when we work together. We'll have fun, I'll probably overshare about my life, try and make you laugh, and want to be friends after :)
When I am not behind my camera you can find me hanging out at home with my two little boys and my husband. I also have two lazy dogs Dani and Josey. Dani is a Great Dane and Josey is a Basset Hound and they are the best of friends. You can also find me playing indoor soccer and just being outside.
I absolutely love what I do and want to share in that joy with those around me.
